About us

Voice to Power Lab (VPL) is a leadership and governance learning lab dedicated to strengthening people-powered democracy. We support lifelong learners—especially parents and caregivers navigating public systems—in developing the leadership, agency, and governance readiness needed to participate in shared decision-making that shapes education and public institutions.

Across Washington State, families develop deep expertise through lived experience. Voice to Power Lab helps transform that experience into leadership that influences policy, strengthens institutions, and creates more responsive systems for communities.

Voice to Power Lab cultivates people-powered leadership by supporting parents and caregivers in developing the agency, efficacy, and readiness in governance needed to influence policy, shape institutional practices, and participate in shared decision-making within public education systems.
